As I’m training currently in AAT Level 4, I have Business & Personal tax fresh in my head.
What’s your best piece of advice for a hygienist/dentist looking to get their finances in order?
If you’re earning around 100K from private dentistry, and have a spouse or partner who pays lower rates of income tax, form a limited company and include your spouse or partner as a shareholder.
Do you have any predictions on changes in the world of finance and accounting in 2020?
Increased money laundering checks will have a big role in finance and accounting, becoming stricter and more thorough.
When you’re not providing financial advice, what else do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy playing rugby on the weekends for Dartmouth.
